A memorial tattoo for the baby that I lost on June 12, 2010.
Tattooed on my left collarbone, therefore always over my heart.
Swallows were associated with the souls of the dead in Ancient Egyptian Mythology. They were said to carry the souls of the dead up to heaven.
Chapter 86 of the Book of the Dead specifically instructs the deceased on how to transform into a swallow.
